湖北省人民政府门户网站推出“外国人眼中的湖北”系列报道，讲述外国人和湖北的故事。今天我们来看看古谷寿之的故事。
In the 40 years of China’s reform and opening up, Hubei is opening its arms and mind to people from all corners of the world, attracting more and more foreigners to study and work here.

“来武汉越久，越迷恋这里。”前日本贸易振兴机构武汉代表处所长古谷寿之说道。在武汉任职的4年间，他不仅亲身感受到湖北的发展变化，更是湖北投资环境、发展机遇的见证者、受益者。
“The longer I stay in Wuhan, the more obsessed I am with it,” said Toshiyuki Koya, the former Wuhan-based representative of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). After spending four years in Wuhan, he has witnessed great changes in Hubei Province, and benefited from Hubei's investment environment and development opportunities.
古谷寿之说，他2015年7月来到湖北，和妻子、10岁的儿子一起在武汉生活。每到周末，他们一家人骑单车或者乘地铁，穿行在大街小巷，用心感受武汉。
Toshiyuki Koya came to Hubei in July 2015, and lived in Wuhan with his wife and 10-year-old son. Every weekend, they enjoy riding bicycles or taking subways so as to walk through streets and lanes in Wuhan.
他说，短短几年，一栋栋高楼拔地而起，一条条地铁四通八达，东湖绿道已成为国内最长5A级城市核心区环湖绿道，中山大道修旧如旧、重现历史风貌。湖北尤其是武汉，正处于高速发展时代，就像武汉的城市口号一样，武汉每天不一样。
“In just a few years, Wuhan has boasted high-rise buildings and many metro lines. The East Lake Greenway has become China’s longest 5A greenway around the lake in central urban district. And the Zhongshan Avenue has been fully renovated. Hubei, especially its capital city Wuhan, is in the era of rapid development. Like Wuhan's city slogan, Wuhan is different every day,” said Toshiyuki Koya.
“除武汉之外，湖北还有很多非常棒的地方。”古谷寿之说，湖北是一个历史悠久、文化底蕴深厚的地方，在日本有着广泛影响和较高知名度。例如，襄阳、荆州、黄冈等地的三国文化，日本人很感兴趣。
“There are many great places in Hubei besides Wuhan,” he said, “Hubei is a province with a long history and profound cultural heritage, which enjoys extensive influence in Japan. The culture of Three Kindoms at Xiangyang, Jingzhou and Huanggang arouses great interests among Japanese.”
古谷寿之说，湖北的魅力说不完，希望湖北越来越好。
“I always have a lot to say about Hubei’s plentiful attractions. I wish Hubei would be better all the time,” Toshiyuki Koya said.
长期以来，湖北与日本保持良好经贸合作关系。日本是湖北最重要的贸易投资合作伙伴之一，贸易额呈逐年增长趋势。
Hubei and Japan have maintained good economic and trade cooperation for a long time. Japan is one of Hubei's most important trade and investment partners, with trade volume increasing year by year.
“2015年，我到武汉就职时，在鄂日企130余家，截至目前已经超过200家，以汽车制造为主。”古谷寿之说，本田、日产、永旺等一大批日本知名企业落户湖北，既深深融入到湖北发展进程中，也获得了丰厚回报。他预测，2020年，在鄂日企数量将突破250家，领域将扩大至网络商务、游戏软件、半导体等。
Toshiyuki Koya said that around 200 Japanese firms have invested in Hubei, with 80 percent of the businesses in the auto industry. In the next year, other 50-plus Japanese firms are expected to take root in Hubei, targeting emerging sectors such as e-commerce, game software and semiconductor.
去年5月，古谷寿之获得我省首张针对外国高端人才的人才签证。古谷寿之说，有了人才签证，他可在10年有效期内多次往返。这对高端人才具有强大吸引力，同时对人才往来也有很大促进作用。
He got a multiple-entry visa for overseas high-level talents in May last year. “With a multiple-entry visa, I can travel multiple times during the 10-year validity period. This attracts high-end talents and greatly promotes talent exchanges,” he said.
古谷寿之表示，武汉是日本贸易振兴机构在中国内陆最早设立代表处的城市，希望机构继续发挥桥梁纽带作用，为促进湖北与日本友好交往作出新的贡献。
Toshiyuki Koya expressed that JETRO chose Wuhan as the first city to establish a representative office in inland China. The organization is expected to bridge Hubei and Japan, so as to promote friendly exchanges between the two sides.
