On the Sansheng Street in downtown Chengdu, there is a food stall selling Juntun Guokui (a kind of pancake stuffed with pork or beef). More precisely, it is a pushcart, on which the owner prepares ingredients, kneads dough, and bakes Guokui.
Some just take a ready-made Guokui from an insulated food container, and some would wait for one that will be made freshly. Baek Jong-won, a South Korean food researcher, is a member of the latter. After having eaten a steamed Fatt Koh, Baek Jong-won turned his head and saw the Juntun Guokui. Without hesitation, he bought one stuffed with pork. On its golden exterior it packs a crunch. Each Guokui only costs 6 or 7 yuan.
