一般将来时表示将来某个时间要发生的动作或存在的状态，还表示将来经常或反复发生的动作。
它是中考必考时态之一，在中考试题中占比较大。
一般将来时通常有七种表达方式：
1. will/shall 动词原形，表示客观上将要发生的动作，表达意愿，陈述事实。，预测未来等。
will用于各种人称，shall只能用于第一种人称I或we.提建议时只能用第二种人称you。
I'll tell you the truth.我会告诉你真相的。
People will live to be 200 years old in the future.
未来人们将活到200岁。
I'll be sixteen years old next year.
明年我就十六岁了。
2.be going to 动词原形
表示计划、打算、决定要做、且事情很快就会发生。
（1）表示主观打算或安排
I'm going to see my grandparents this Sunday.周日我打算去看我祖父母。
Where are they going to have a picnic?他们准备去哪里野餐？
（2）表示有迹象表明要发生的事
Look at the black clouds.It's going to rain.看看乌云，要下雨了。
3.be about to 动词原形
意思是立刻，即将做某事，不能与tomorrow, next year等具体的时间状语连用，但是在过去时态的句子中能和when从句连用。
Tom is about to return to Italy.汤姆即将返回意大利。
I was about to do my homework when my father came in.
我父亲进来的时候我正要做作业。
4.be to 动词原形
主要表示客观安排即将发生的动作。而be going to表示主观计划或安排。
He is to play the piano tomorrow morning.他决定明天下午弹钢琴。
When are you to leave for Beijing?你什么时候去北京？
5.be doing
有移动方向的趋向动词如go, come, start, arrive, leave, move, drive,fly等，常用现在进行时表达将来按计划或安排发生的事。
My uncle is leaving for Beijing tomorrow.明天我叔叔将动身去北京。
I'm going to the bookstore this afternoon.今天下午我准备去书店。
6.一般现在时表将来
（1）主将从现，意思是说带有时间或条件状语从句的主句用将来时，从句用一般现在时表达将来。
I'll go to the zoo if it is fine tomorrow.明天如果天气好，我将去动物园。
I'll tell him the good news as soon as he comes back tomorrow.明天他一回来我就告诉他这个好消息。
（2）少数动词如arrive, leave,start, begin等用一般现在时表示按规定或时间表安排好的事情。
The train leaves at ten tomorrow night.火车明晚十点开车。
The plane to Shanghai takes off at five o'clock.去上海的飞机五点起飞。
（3）有时动词hope后的宾语从句时态用一般现在时表将来。
I hope you have a good school year.=I hope you will have a good school year.我希望你们度过一个愉快的学年。
7.be due to 动词原形
主要表示预计、预期做某事。
We are due to visit the Great Wall next week.我们预计下周游览长城。
