变为比较级形式口诀：
前有甲后有乙，中间来个比较级。
比较级前用个be, 比较级后用个“比（than）”。
原级变成比较级，er结尾要牢记。
一般情况直接加，重闭单辅双写加。
辅音加 y 变 i 加，以 e 结尾把 r 加。
少数部分双音节，规则如同单音节。
其余双音多音节，词前加 more 就了结。
变为最高级形式口诀：
最高级，也容易，原级后加 -est。
规则如同比较级，提醒一点便可以。
其余双音多音节，前加 most 牢牢记。
还有一点稍留心，最高级前要用 the 。
若是副词最高级，用不用 the 皆可以。
说明：
1）比较级句型一般是：主语 be 比较级 than ---。
2）原级变成比较级，一般在词尾加 -er。
3）重读闭音节末尾只有一个辅音字母的，双写这个辅音字母再加 -er。
4）辅音字母 y 结尾的，把 y 改为 i 再加 -er。
5）以 e 结尾的单词只加 r 。
6）少数部分双音节规则和单音节词一样，其余双音节词和多音节词，在词前加 more 变成它的比较级。
7）最高级在原级后面加 -est , 规则跟比较级一样，不同的是其余双音节和多音节词在词前加 -most 。
8）最高级前往往用定冠词 the , 如果是副词最高级，可以不用 the 。
