一、like用作及物动词，译为“喜欢”。
1.后接名词或代词，表示喜欢某人或某物。
We Chinese like Spring Festival a lot.我们中国人很喜欢春节。
He likes the toys very much. 他非常喜欢这些玩具。
2.后接动名词(v. -ing)，表示“喜欢做某事”，强调习惯、爱好。
Nowadays more and more people like chatting on WeChat.
时下越来越多的人喜欢在微信中聊天。
Tom likes playing the piano. 汤姆喜欢踢足球。
3.后接动词不定式(to do )，表示“偶尔地喜欢（其实是想）做某事”，强调于某次具体的行为。
I like to watch TV this evening because there is going to be a new film. 我今晚想看电视因为有一部新电影。
It’s so hot.We all like to go swimming in the river .
天那么热，我们都想到河里游泳。
特殊用法 ：
（1） would like sth表示想要......或者表达愿意。出现在口语中表示客气地征询意见或建议、邀请、请求等。
Would you like a glass of milk? 你想要杯牛奶吗？
I’m hungry.I’d like something to eat.我饿了，想弄些吃的。
（2） would like to do sth表示想要、愿意做......，出现在口语中表示客气地征询意见或建议、邀请、请求等。
Would you like to come to my birthday party?
We’d like to have a party for grandpa at home .
我们想在家里给爷爷开个聚会。
(3)How do you like?你觉得......怎么样？相当于What do you think of.....?通常用于询问对某人或某物的喜欢程度。
How do you like your new teachers? 你觉得你们的新老师如何？
How do you like Chinese food? 你觉得中国食物怎么样？
(4)What do you like about....?“你喜欢......的什么呢？”，常用于询问对某人或某物所喜欢的内容。
What do you like about your English teacher? His humor.
你喜欢你们英语老师什么呢？他的幽默。
What does he like about the room?他喜欢这房间的什么呢？
二、like作介词时，意为“像；跟......一样”和“比如，例如”，其后接名词或代词做宾语。
The little boy looks like his father.那个小男孩看上去像他父亲。
Don’t do it like that.这件事别那样做。
What’s the weather like in Beijing now?现在北京天气怎么样？
He feels like visiting his grandmother this afternoon.
他想今天下午看望奶奶。（like为介词，feel like表示“想要”）
Suddenly I felt like a bird.我突然感觉像只鸟一样。
He likes playing with his classsmates like Jenny and Sally.他喜欢和他的同学 玩，比如珍妮和萨丽。
Father has a few hobbies like writing ,reading and running.

三、作连词时，后面是句子。这时like也可视为介词。
I felt like I was a bird.我感觉我像只鸟。
We are feeling like we are flying in the sky. 我们感觉像在天上飞。
