我们都知道see, look, watch, observe, view,notice,read这几个单词都是表示“看”，但大部分同学对这些词的具体用法经常混淆，那么它们到底有什么区别呢？
1.see:表“看见”， 当一个事物进入到你的视野或者视线之中，不管你是有意还是无意的，只要看见了，知道了它的存在，就用see, 强调看的结果。
Eg. I can see Jenny in the kitchen cooking dinner.
我能看见珍妮在厨房里做晚饭。
*see后面既可以加 do, 也可以加doing。
see sb. do偏重指看到某人做过某事的全过程，动词既可以为延续性动词，也可以为非延续性动词。
如：I saw him leave a few minutes ago. 我看见他几分钟前离开的。
see sb. doing则偏重看到某人正在做，动词只能为延续性动动词。
如：The suspect was seen entering the building. 有人看到疑犯进入了大楼。
2. look:不及物动词，表看，注意，留心， 指集中注意力地看，强调看的这个动作，是有意的。单独使用时，用来引起对方的注意，如果跟宾语，后面要加介词at。
常见的动词词组有：look at看一看, look like看上去像, look after照顾, look for寻找，look forward to 盼望。
Eg. If you look carefully you can just see our house from here.
你要是仔细看，从这里就能看见我们的房子。
Look at that children who is flying a kite. His hair is so long.
看那个正在放风筝的孩子，他头发真长。
3. watch: 强调专注地看，表示长时间看一个东西，尤其是不断移动和变化的东西，有欣赏意味，多指看比赛，电影或者演出等，。
Eg. He invited me to watch a movie called Dumbo, a movie that's still regarded as one of Disney's classics.
他邀请我去看一场电影-小飞象，这是一部迪斯尼经典动画片。
4. observe: 强调长时间的观察，侧重以客观的态度进行观察。
Eg. And then you investigate it. And you say, oh I can observe this and figure something out about it.
然后你开始研究它，你会说，哦，我可以观察这个，还能解决有关它的一些事情。
Predators have been observed to avoid attacking brightly coloured species.
据观察发现，食肉动物会避免袭击色彩鲜艳的物种。
5. view: 既可以作名词，表视野，景色，观点，看法，看，也可以作动词，表看待，仔细看，观看，查看，把.......视为......。有时相当于see或者watch。
Eg.The lens you choose to view every thing through
determines how you feel about yourself and everything that happens around you.
你选择来观察事物的镜头，决定了你如何感受自己以及发生在你周围的一切事。
We have viewed the video recording of the incident that happened last night .
我们已观看了昨晚发生的事件录像。
6. notice: 是突然发现，注意到，含有从不注意到注意的变化的意义。表看到；听到；感觉到；注意(到)。
Eg. He noticed a woman in a black dress sitting across from him.
他看到有位黑衣女子坐在他的对面。
I noticed that her hands were shaking.
我注意到她的双手在颤抖。
7. read: 这个词在中文中习惯翻译为“看”， 但是它的实际意义表示阅读。
Eg. Some children can read books and write before they go to school.
有些孩子在上学前就会看书写字了。
