愚人节
April Fool's Day
4月1日是西方的愚人节，但它并未被任何国家认定为法定节日。
愚人节较普遍的说法是16世纪起源于法国。在18世纪流传到英国，后来又被早期的移民带到了美洲，慢慢地成为欧美流行的节日。在这个节日，人们可以和老师、家人和朋友开玩笑，如告诉他们一些善意的谎言(white lie)等等。
April Fool's Day is a day to play jokes on others. No one knows how this holiday began, but people think it first started in France in the 16th century, which was introduced to England, and later to America by the early settlers from Great Britain. It is a popular holiday in the Western countries, but it is not recognized as an official holiday in any country. But on this day, people can play jokes on their teachers, folks and friends, such as telling them some white lies and so on.
