一般过去时，有时被称为“过去式”，我们可以用几种形式来谈论过去，但过去时是我们使用最多的一种。
我们该如何使用一般过去时这个时态呢？
一般过去时有两种基本结构：
1 肯定句（Positive sentences）
2 否定句和疑问句（Negative and question sentences）
请看以下使用主要动词go（不规则） 和work（规则）的示例：

对于肯定句
1、没有助动词。
2、在一般过去时中，主动词的变化都是在末尾加ed或者不规则变化（如go→went）

对于否定和疑问句
1、助动词是始终不变的,如 did
2、主动词是始终不变的基本形式（即原型）
3、对于否定句，我们在助动词和主要动词之间插入not
4、对于疑问句，我们只需把主语和助动词交换位置即可

For negative sentences, we insert not between the auxiliary verb and main verb.
For question sentences, we exchange the subject and the auxiliary verb.
