驴子、乌鸦与狼（Donkeys, crows and wolves）
一天，有头背上受了伤的驴子，在牧场上吃草。乌鸦飞到他背上，啄他的伤口，驴子痛得跳起来大叫。而站在远处的驴夫却若无其事，在那里发笑。有只狼正从这里走过，见到后，自言自语地说：“我真倒霉！只要我望一望驴子，就遭到人们追赶，而乌鸦飞到驴背上，人们还笑。”
寓意：人们时时刻刻警惕那些专做坏事的人。

有人养着一只狗和一头驴子，主人常同狗一起嬉戏。有一天，他外出吃饭，带回一些食物，扔给狗吃。狗高兴得摇着尾巴迎了上去。驴子非常羡慕，也蹦蹦跳跳跑了过去，结果踢了主人一脚。主人十分气愤，痛打了驴子一顿，并把它拴在马槽边。
寓意：同样的事情不一定适合于所有的人。
