英语写作是语言应用的一个重要方面，也是语言能力测定的重要手段。除此之外，它还是英语学习的重要内容之一，也是学生综合能力的体现。无论是中考、期末考、月考……还是什么大大小小的考试，英语作文都是必考项，其重要性不言而喻。

一是，丰富的基础知识累积。有很多同学在写作文时基本上是简单句的堆砌，偶尔有复杂句，动不动就是单调的so，and，then，but 等关系词，没有特点不说，反而使句子结构显得松散、呆板。
二是，掌握一定的写作技巧。不少学生仍然在实际写作方法上存在空白，有了扎实的基本功，还应当掌握一定的写作技巧。
无论写那种作文，首先认真审题，确定写作人称，写作中心，和时态。在文中适当运用一些关连词和写上一些复合句式，避免重复使用同一单词或词组，让作文衔接自然流畅。
