定语从句重要考点：
1. 下列情况下关系代词只用that 而不用which。
1). 当先行词是不定代词everything, anything, nothing, something, all, none, few, little, some, much等代词时，或当先行词被every, any, all, some, no, little, few, much等代词修饰时。
如： I didn’t understand the words all that he said.
I know all people that are from that village.
Please take any seat that is free.
2). 先行词由最高级、序数词所修饰。
如：This is the most beautiful place that I have been to .
This is the first car that arrived this morning.
3). 先行词既包括人，也包括物。
如：They always like to talk about the man and the things that they see on the road.
4). 当主句是以which, what 或who 开头的特殊疑问句时。
如：Who is the man that opened the door?
5）当先行词被the very, the only, the same, the last修饰时。
如：That is the very book that I was looking for.
2. 只能用which，不用that 的情况：
(1) 在非限制性定语从中。例如：
The meeting was put off, which was exactly what we wanted.
(2) 定语从句由介词 关系代词引导，先行词是物时。例如：
The thing about which he is talking is of great importance.
We depend on the land from which we get our food.
