比较级和最高级常用句型
一、比较级
1.“比较级 and 比较级”或“more and more 原级(多音节或部分双音节)”，译为“越来越……”
The weather in Wuhan is getting hotter and hotter.武汉的天气变得越来越热。
Lee becomes more and more beautiful.李变得越来越漂亮。
2.“the 比较级，the 比较级”，译为“越…越…。”
The harder you are, the luckier you are.越努力越幸运。
3.“the 比较级 of the two……”表示“…是两者中较…的”
Look at the two boys, my brother is the taller of the two.看这两个男孩，我弟弟是比较高的那个。
4.形容词/副词比较级 than any other 单数名词( 介词短语)”表示“比同一范围的任何一个人/物都……”，含义是“最……”。
Mike gets to school earlier than any other student in his class.
= Mike gets to school earlier than any of the other students in his class.
= Mike gets to school earlier than the other students in his class.
= Mike gets to school earliest in his class.
二、最高级
1.主语 be the 形容词最高级 in/of短语
He is the tallest in our class.他是我们班上最高的。
2.主语 实义动词 (the) 副词最高级 in/of短语
She sings best of all girls.她是所有女孩当中唱歌最好的。
3.疑问词 助动词 主语 动词原形 be( the) 最高级 甲，乙or丙？
Who do you think was the best act, A,B or C?你认为谁是最好的表演者，A,B还是C？
4.“主语 动词 one of the 形容词最高级 复数名词 in/of短语”表示“…是……中最……之一”。
Beijing is one of the largest cities in China.北京是中国最大的城市之一。
5.序数词 最高级
Hainan Island is the second largest island in China.海南岛是中国的第二大岛屿。
注意:
of与in的选择
of:主语同后面的词是同一类人或物，后接复数名词(可省略)。
in:主语与后面的词是人物与地点的关系。
He's the tallest of the three.他是三个人当中最高的。
He's the tallest in our class.他是我们班上最高的。
