玉楼春

茅于美

人生过境难回顾。

哀乐追怀旋失故。

远帆初泊碧波平，

风定方知怜去住。

十年憧憬浑无据。

情景当前常自误。

迷途已是不堪寻，

又看日移身畔树。

茅于美（1920-1998），生于江苏镇江。昆明清华研究院外文系毕业，曾任中国人民大学外国文学教授。有《芧于美词集》《中西诗歌比较研究》等。

MAO Yumei (1920-1998), born in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, graduated from the Foreign Language Department of Kunming Tsinghua Research Institute. She was a professor of foreign literature at Renmin University of China. The poet authored A Lyric Collection of Mao Yumei, A Comparative Study of Chinese and Western Poetry,etc. (豆亚慧译)

As life goes fast, it’s so hard to look back;

Pains and joys fluctuate like ebb and tide.

The sail going far is set on waves blue;

The steady wind may know where I’d abide.

My ten years’ longing is just without ground;

I’m often trapped by the scene before me.

The way that I have lost I cannot find,

Beholding the sun move to the nearby tree.
