英语中的可数名词都有其复数形式，虽然大部分名词的复数形式的意义和单数形式并没有多大区别，但是有那么一部分名词它们的复数形式的意义和单数是有区别的，所以看完这篇文章以后，大家不能随便用这些名词复数了哦。
1. advice 劝告
虽然它是不可数名词，但是其复数形式为advices时意义并不是"劝告"，而是"消息，报道"。
例句：
They argued that I should take his advice.
他们争论说我该接受他的建议。
They want of fresh advices from Europe.
缺少来自欧洲的新消息。
2. arm 手臂
其复数形式是arms，意思是"武器"，当然也可是是"手臂"的复数形式。
例句：
If I hold it for an hour, I will have an ache in my right arm.
如果我拿着它一个小时，我的右臂就会疼。
They have a history of arms smuggling and deadly terror.
他们有武器走私和致命恐怖事件的历史。
3. brain 大脑，脑袋
这个名词的复数形式为brains，意思是"智力，脑髓"，当然也可以指"大脑"。
例句：
Can your brain absorb all this information?
你的脑袋能吸收这全部信息吗？
You know why they say we only use 10 percent of our brains?
你知道为什么人们说我们只使用了10%的智力吗？
4. cloth 布料
作为"布料"讲，这个单词本身是没有复数形式的。但是"clothes"这个复数形式的意思是"衣服"。
例句：
She likes to piece one cloth to another when she does some sewing.
当她做针线活时，她喜欢把一块布拼凑到另一块上。
Some people are always with you like your clothes, but they do not understand you.
有些人，虽然像衣服一样时常在你的身边，但却永远不能了解你的心。
5. custom 风俗
它的复数形式是customs，意思是"海关"，也可以是"风俗"的复数。
例句：
She disliked the custom of greeting everyone with a smile.
她不喜欢微笑着和每个人打招呼这一风俗。
Do you have anything to declare for customs?
你过海关有什么要申报的吗？
6. force 力量
它的复数形式是forces，意思是"军队，势力，武装力量"。
例句:
If you support me, your choice will be an infinite force.
如果你支持我，你的选择将会是无限的力量！
There are difficulties before the reactionary forces as well as before us.
在反动势力和我们面前都有困难。
7. glass 玻璃
它的复数形式是glasses，意思是"眼镜"，而不是"玻璃"。
例句：
I have a quartz heart, but they thought that it is glass.
我有一颗水晶般的心，可是他们都认为它是玻璃。
Do you know the one that wears glasses?
你认识戴眼镜的那个人吗？
8. good 好处，善行
它的复数形式是goods，意思是"商品，货物"。
例句：
What good did they give to you?
他们给了你们什么好处？
What are the expenses of these goods?
这些商品的费用是多少？
9. manner 方式，习惯
它的复数形式是manners，意思是"礼貌"。
例句：
What I like best is her speaking manner.
我最喜欢的是她的说话方式。
Good manners can make it easier for us to converse with others.
有礼貌可以使我们与他人交谈变得更容易。
10. paper 纸张，论文
它的复数形式是papers，意思是"文章，文件"。
例句：
We can all do simple sums on paper.
我们都能在纸上做简单的加法。
He worked so carefully that his paper had no mistakes at all.
他工作非常认真，所以他的论文没有一点错误。
All you have to do is sign the papers.
你必须做的全部都是在文件上签字。
11. regard 尊重
它的复数形式是regards，意思是"问候"。
例句：
I have a high regard for him as a coach, because he is very precise in his job.
作为教练，我对他非常尊重，因为他对他的工作总是要求很高。
I send my best regards to you and your family.
我向你和你的家人致以最好的问候。
12. spirit 精神
它的复数形式是spirits，意思是"情绪，态度"。
例句：
Any infringement of this spirit should be avoided.
应当避免任何侵犯这种精神的行为。
Her spirits remained up in spite of her disappointment.
尽管她很失望，但她的情绪依然高昂。
