7. primary 首要的；主要的
形容在进展顺序上占首位，也指在重要性方面占主导地位。注意primary也不用于比较等级，在句中只用作定语。

8. considerable 重要的；相当大的；可观的
例：He is a considerable person in that college.

12. count 有价值；很重要；要紧
count的基本意思是“计算“，引申为“计算在内、重要、有价值”，常见搭配是count for sth。
例：In their eyes wealth counted for a great deal, education for very little.
在他们看来，财富重于一切，教育没什么价值。
13. front-page （消息）头版的，重要的，轰动的
可以这样理解，放在头版的新闻一定是轰动的、重要的事件。
例：The story made front-page news.
该报道上了头版。
14. meat-and-potatoes 基本的；根本的；重要的
肉加土豆就是主食，这应该可以满足基本生活需要。
例：For many unions, the meat-and-potatoes issue is no longer pay increases but job security.
许多任务会面临的主要问题已不再是加薪，而是工作安全保障。
15. on the map 重要的；出名的
字面意思是“在地图上”，引申为“重要的，出名的，存在的”。
