the minute等于as soon as 是一…就…的意思，用于时间状语从句。如果主句是一般将来时，从句应该用一般现在时；如果主句是一般现在时，从句也用一般现在时。例如；I will write to you the minute I get to Bei jing.
Every day I start to do my homework the minute I get home.
由when、as soon as、the minute、the moment、till、until等引起的时间状语从句，以及由if、unless、provided that等引起的条件状语从句常常用一般现在时态表示将来的动作，而主句则用一般将来时态。
例：They will go home for winter vocation as soon as they finish their exams.
