零冠词指的是名词前不加任何冠词。
1、专有名词前一般不加冠词。例如:国名、地名、人名等。例如:Tom comes from America. 汤姆来自美国。
2、抽象的不可数名词一般不用冠词。例如:Knowledge 知识，experience 经验，information 信息，pleasure 乐趣，life 生命等。例如:(1)Life is short ；art is long. 生命短暂，艺术长存。(2)Music can bring us pleasure. 音乐可以带给人乐趣。
3、物质名词前不用冠词。例如water 水，air 空气，meat 肉，rice 大米等。例如:(1)Money is not everything. 金钱不是万能的。 (2)Water is very important for us. 水对我们来说很重要。
4、复数名词表示泛指时不用冠词。例如:(1)My parents are doctors.我父母是医生。（2)Young people enjoy reading books. 年轻人喜欢读书。
5、一日三餐前不用冠词。例如:What do you often have for breakfast?早饭你经常吃什么？
6、季节、月份、日期、节日、星期名称前不用冠词。例如:（1)I like swimming in summer.我夏天喜欢游泳。（2)January 1is New Year’s Day.一月一日是元旦。
知识纵深:表示季节的名词前一般不用冠词；但是如果具体到某年某地的某个季节则要用the。例如:（1)in the spring of the 2021 在2021年的春天 （2)in autumn 在秋天（美语中用in the fall, the 不能省略) （3)I like the winter of Beijing. 我喜欢北京的冬天。
7、球类运动、棋类游戏的名词前不用冠词。例如：（1)play basketball 打篮球
（2)play chess 下棋
8、表示语言的名称前不用冠词。例如:（1)I can speak Japanese，English and French. 我会说日语、英语和法语。
9、学科的名词前不用冠词。例如:Maths is hard to learn. 数学难学。
10、名词前有物主代词、指示代词、不定代词、名词所有格修饰时，不用冠词。例如:my teacher, some books, Tom’s bike, this room, those flowers.
