一、课程标准要求
2011版义务教育英语课程标准,明确将一般过去时态列为学生必须掌握的六大时态之一,足以说明其重要性。
二、概念
一般过去时表示过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态;过去习惯性、经常性的动作、行为。在英语语法中,“时“指动作发生的时间,”态“指动作的样子和状态。
区别其他时态的主要特征是,谓语动词用动词过去式;助动词添加的是did。

课标强调的常用句型,时态的变化体现在动词的形式上
四、如何用一般过去时态写故事
1.整体时态要求:一般过去时态
2.好的故事包含(文章结构):beginning(开头),middle/body(主体)和end(结尾)。
①开头(beginning)应包含以下要素:who , when, where,和what。
②主体(middle/body)应含有两个主要内容:事件(problem) (感受)feeling。
③结尾(end)也应含有两个主要内容:解决问题的办法(solution) 感受(feelings)
3.结尾的写作要求:
①至少2-3句话;
②解决问题的办法:谁解决的问题?如何解决的?感受如何?

It was a sunny and warm Saturday. Tom and Peter went to the playground. They practiced playing basketball in the gym. Suddenly. Peter fell down and injured his ankle. He couldn't stand at all. He was in so much pain. Tom quickly called 120. An ambulance came and sent them to the hospital. The doctor told Peter that he had to stay at the hospital for a week. He was so sad that he couldn't play basketball for a long time.
