In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Modern Omani Renaissance and in commemoration of the memory of its founder late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Bin Taimour, and his notable and great accomplishments that placed the Sultanate prominently on the world map, the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) issued a new RO 50 banknote in its sixth series, which will begin circulating as legal tender this month.
