Lamar went on to win four Grammys: Best Rap Performance for "Humble," Best Rap/Sung Performance for "Loyalty" with Rihanna, Best Music Video for "Humble" and Best Rap Album for “Damn.”
"This is a special award because of rap music – this is the thing that got me on the stage, got me to tour all around the world, support my family and all that," Lamar said while accepting Best Rap Album.

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran took home the Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance, with his album "Divide" and hit single "Shape of You." As the most played song on Spotify ever, "Shape of You" broke numerous records in 2017.
But Sheeran wasn’t there to collect his award given that he was snubbed in many of the main categories.

Jay-Z is already one of the artists with the most accolades in the history of the Grammys with 21 awards. But until this year he had always been passed over for the main categories.
Jay Z not winning any of his eight awards is officially one of the biggest shutouts in Grammys history.
