right 和 rightly 都可以作副词，但是它们的意思和用法不同。
一、right 是方式副词，意为“正确地，恰当地”等，只能跟在主要动词后面，而 rightly 不能，例如：
The calculation was wrong first time, but I did it right the second time.
第一次计算错了，但第二次我做对了。
When everything goes right, no one says thank you, but when things go wrong, they start complaining immediately.
当一切顺利的时候，没有人会说谢谢，但是当事情出错的时候，他们会立即开始抱怨。
二、rightly 是观点副词，表示在说话人看来，某人做某事是对的，通常是中位状语，即通常置于主语和主要动词之间或助词与形容词或动词之间，意为“正当地，理所当然”，比 right 更主观，例如：
主语与主要动词之间：
He rightly took the money he had found straight to the nearest police station.
他正确地把找到的钱直接带到最近的警察局。
助动词 be 与形容词或主要动词之间：
Climate change is rightly seen as the greatest threat to the world at the present time.
气候变化被正确地视为当今世界的最大威胁。
The school was rightly proud of the excellent exam results.
学校为这次出色的考试成绩感到骄傲，这是理所当然的。
助动词 have 与主要动词之间：
He has rightly interrupted his holiday in Spain to return to London.
