without短语有时放在句首，有时放在句末，可以构成无动词条件从句，一般都可扩充为条件状语从句。
Without you, we should be helpless. 没有你，我们就无依无靠。（Without you=If we had not you）
We can do nothing without his consenting. 他若不同意，我们就毫无办法了。（without his consenting=unless he consents）
Without leave from the master, we should not go out. 老师不准假，我们不应当出去。（Without leave from the master=Unless we got leave from the master）
We wouldn't have achieved so much without the correct leadership of the Party. 如果没有党的正确领导，我们不会有这么大的成就。（without the correct leadership of the Party=if there hadn't been the correct leadership of the Party）
