国破山河在，城春草木深。

感时花溅泪，恨别鸟惊心。

烽火连三月，家书抵万金。

白头搔更短，浑欲不胜簪。

杜甫（712—770），字子美，自号少陵野老，唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，与李白合称“李杜”。原籍湖北襄阳，后徙河南巩县。

DU Fu (712-770), Zimei by courtesy name and Shaolin’s Old & Lone Master of None by literary name, born in Xiangyang, Hubei Province. Later he moved to Gongxian County, Henan Province. Du, a great realistic poet in the Tang dynasty, and Li Bai were jointly known as “Li-Du”. (马宝燕译)
