get 看起来很简单的词，用法却很多，经常出现在高考的考题中。get可用作使役动词，也可用作及物动词和不及物动词，作及物动词时有得到的意思，作不及物动词时，有到达的意思，还可以用作连系动词。
一、使役动词
1. I can't get him to stop smoking.
我无法让他戒烟。
get sb. to do 让某人做某事
- Can you get the radio working ?
你能把收音机弄好吗？
get sb.\sth. doing 让某人（物）行动起来
I can't get the car moving.我无法发动车子。
3. You should get your homework finished before watching TV. （homework和finish之间被动关系）
你得把作业做完了才能看电视。
get sth. done 使事情被做
- She soon got the children ready for school.使......处于某种状态
她很快帮孩子做好上学的准备。
二、 get 及物动词
1.I don't get your meaning.
我不明白你的意思。
2. I got two birthday gifts yesterday我昨天收到两件生日礼物。
3. She got a master degree.她拿到了硕士学位
4. My mother has got a headache. 我妈妈头疼。
5. Please go and get him.去把他叫来。
6. Will you please get me a ticket for the football match?
请给我弄张足球赛票好吗？
get sb. st.为某人弄到事物（接双宾）
=get sth. for sb.替某人弄到某物
7. I got a dictionary last week .我上周买了一本字典。
8. have got\has got =have在英语口语中,常用have got代替have ,作“有”解
三、get 不及物动词
get to =arrive =reach 到达
Can we get to the station in time?
我们能及时到达车站吗？get to 可换成 arrive at 或者reach
get up 起床
get over 克服困难
get through (电话)打通 ，办完；花完，用完，及格；达到目的
get in 收割
get on the bus 上车
get off the bus 下车
get into trouble 陷入困境
get out of trouble 摆脱困境
四、get 做连系动词，后接形容词
Our nation is getting more and more powerful.我们的国家变得越来越强大。
get 做连系动词时后常接V-ed 构成系表结构get v-ed
get interested in 对......感兴趣
get dressed 穿衣
get paid 得到报酬
