Joe Sanders has the most beautiful garden in our town. Nearly everybody enters for 'The Nicest Garden Competition' each year, but Joe wins every time. Bill Frith's garden is larger than Joe's. Bill works harder than Joe and grows more flowers and vegetables, but Joe's garden is more interesting. He has made neat paths and has built a wooden bridge over a pool. I like gardens too, but I do not like hard work. Every year I enter for the garden competition too, and I always win a little prize for the worst garden in the town!

比较级：两者进行比较
最高级：三者或以上进行比较时用
比较级与最高级的变化规则：
常规规则：变末尾字母（具体参考语法书）…
两个音节以上的单词用more 原级，the more 原级；
例外与不规则：
good 的比较级better，最高级best；little的比较级less，最高级为least；bad的比较级为worst，最高级为worst；
far的比较级为farther，最高级为farthest：表示具体的远；
far的比较级为further，最高级为furthest：表示抽象的远；
old 的比较级为older，最高级为oldest：通常指人指物皆可，有比较级与最高级
old 的比较级为elder，最高级为eldest通常指人，指家庭的年长者，不用于比较级
课文重点

形容词最高级前必须加the；
副词最高级前的the可以省略；
in our town在我们的城镇，在句中限定比较范围
在表示范围的词前加in，在表示群体的前面加of或among；

形容词副词比较级 than…，than引导的比较状语从句，其后常用省略形式。用than进行比较时应该是同一类

work hard努力工作，hard是副词，work是动词
hard work艰辛的工作，hard是形容词，work是名词
grow/raise sth种植（花草、蔬菜，水果），grow后边只能跟物
raise sth还可以表示养殖家禽，抚养人，培育人
plant sth种花种树（不表示培育）
