所谓美剧百刷法，就是精选优质美剧，反复听、反复看，我大四的时候选择的是《纸牌屋》，它是一部美国的政治剧，讲述了国会议员弗兰克·安德伍德（凯文·史派西饰演）在遭到总统背叛后，不惜一切手段争夺权力成功上位总统的故事。纸牌屋剧情经典，里面的对话既实用也不乏一些很正式的用法。我当时把纸牌屋第一部的台词全部打印下来，mp3的音频文件存到手机上，第一部每集至少看了10遍，前3集听 看甚至超过20遍，以至于几乎能把前几集的台词给背下来。
拿第一部的第一集来说，里面就有不少经典台词：
1. There are two kinds of pain.The sort of pain that makes you strong or useless pain...The sort of pain that's only suffering.
2. And a person's character isn't determined by how he or she enjoys vitory，but rather how he or she endures defeat.
3. Power's a lot like real estate.It's all about location, location, location.The closer you are to the source,the higher your property value.
所谓总统演讲法，就是反复听、反复看、反复背总统演讲，如奥巴马的演讲就是非常好的素材，奥巴马演讲发音清晰，用法也相对高级。奥巴马的成名作就是无畏的希望/The Audacity of Hope，是他在2004年民主党全国代表大会上的主题演讲。
开头就是：On behalf of the great state of Illinois, crossroads of a nation, landof Lincoln, let me express my deep gratitude for the privilege of addressing this convention. Tonight is a particular honor for me because, let's face it,my presence on this stage is pretty unlikely.
截取中间一段：I stand here today, grateful for the diversity of my heritage, aware that my parents' dreams live on in my precious daughters. I stand here knowing that my story is part of the larger American story, that I owe a debt to all ofthose who came before me, and that, in no other country on earth, is my story even possible. Tonight, we gather to affirm the greatness of our nation, not because of the height of our skyscrapers, or the power of our military, or thesize of our economy. Our pride is based on a very simple premise, summed up in a declaration made over two hundred years ago, "We hold these truths to heself-evident, that all men are created equal. 再放最后一段：Tonight, if you feel the same energy I do, the same urgency I do, the same passion I do, the same hopefulness I do - if we do what we must do, then I have no doubt that all across the country, from florida to oregon, from Washingtion to Maine, the people will rise up in November, and John Kerry will be sworn in as president, and John Edwards will be sworn in as vice president, and this country will reclaim its promise, and out of this long political darkness a brighter day will come. 不得不说，奥巴马的演讲确实极富感染力。除了这个最有名的，其余的如奥巴马08年胜选演说，09年上任100天后的国情咨文，09年复旦大学的采访，08年希拉里的党内辩论，08年和麦凯恩的总统辩论，12年和罗姆尼的总统辩论，都是非常好的素材。相关素材，大家可以网上自行下载，在网易云音乐、喜马拉雅、可口英语等手机APP上也都能找到。同理，2016年特朗普和希拉里的总统辩论，里根和克林顿的总统演讲，也都是非常好的英语学习素材。既可以练听力，也可以张嘴练口语，同时学习一定的语法。
