1. convenient adj. 便利的；方面的
Online shopping is both cheap and convenient.网上购物既便宜又方便。
The family thought it was more convenient to eat in the kitchen. 这家人认为在厨房吃饭更方便。
Internet makes it convenient for us to get in touch with each other.互联网使得我们相互联系方便了。
1）be convenient for / to sb. 对某人来说方便
It is not convenient for me to ring him up.我现在不方便给他打电话。
在你方便的时候请来看我们。
误: Please come to see us when you are convenient.
正: Please come to see us when it is convenient for you.
2）inconvenient adj. 不方便的
3）convenience n. 便利；舒适；适宜

corner是可数名词,意为“拐角;角落”。
常构成短语：
①in the corner of...意为“在......的拐角处/角落里”

②on/at the corner意为“在拐角处”。
The shop you are looking for is on the corner. 你要找的那家商店在拐角处。
She waved to me as she turned the corner.她拐弯时向我挥了挥手。

3. inexpensive 不昂贵的，便宜的
inexpensive形容词,意为“不昂贵的”，其同义词为 cheap, 反义词为 expensive/dear。
inexpensive是由expensive加上否定前缀in-构成的。
The red dress is inexpensive.这条红裙子价格不贵。
英语中常见的否定前缀
① dis-表示“不;非；相反”
如: like喜欢 — dislike 不喜欢；agree 同意—disagree 不同意。
② in-(im-，ir-)表示“不；非”
如: expensive 昂贵的— inexpensive便宜的；polite礼貌的— impolite不礼貌的;
③un-表示“不，非”
如: able有能力的 — unable无能力的；like像—unlike不像；
crowded拥挤的 — uncrowded不拥挤的；

We have only a small room to live in. 我们仅有一间能住的小房间
动词不定式作后置定语，表示要做的事（尚未发生），常与名词有动宾关系，不及物动词加介词。
如：农民们想出一些办法来保护庄稼
The farmers thought of ways to protect their crops.

She was the first person in the world to win the Nobel Prize.

Asking and Directing the Way（问路和指路）
问路时应注意：
1. 问路时应首先说一声：“Excuse me.”这样可以引起对方的注意，又不失礼貌。
2. 当你没听清时，你可以说一声“Excuse me, would you please say it again?”(对不起，请您再说一遍好吗?)或“I beg your pardon?”(对不起，请再说一遍好吗?)等，礼貌地要求 对方重复一遍。
3. 问完路后，千万不要忘记向对方说句“Thank you for helping me.” 或“Thank you.”
4. 问路时经常会用到“向左(右)拐”这样的表达，英语对此有两种常见的说法，即turn left (right)或turn to the left (right)。表示“在左(右)边”，英语用介词on或at均可。
基本句型：
1. Excuse me, can you tell me where the railway station is? 打扰一下，请问火车站在哪儿?
2. Excuse me, but can you tell me the way to the train station? 劳驾，请问去火车站怎么走?

指路的方式
1. Go along this street, and … is on you left.
2. Go down this way, and turn left at the first crossing, and you’ll find … is right there, on your left.
3. … is behind (near, next to, on the left of) …
4. You can just take No. 111 bus, and get off at the second station. And you’ll see it.
5. Look! … is in front of us far away, right there!
