在日常生活中，当我们对人或事物进行计量时，有一种是用确定的数目表达的，如a/an或one表示“一”，two表示“二”，a（或one）hundred表示“一百”，three thousand 表示“三千”，four million 表示“四百万”，five billion表示“五十亿”，这样的表达叫定量表达。还有一种是用不确定的数目表达的，如some/a few/several books 表示“几本书”，many/much/a lot of/lots of/plenty of/a large number of/a great deal of都表示“大量的、许多的”，这些表达叫不定量表达。下面，我们要说的是数词中的定量表达和不定量表达：
定量表达：如两百个学生，应表达为two hundred students，而two hundreds students 和two hundred of students和two hundreds Of students都是错误的表达。但是，two hundred of the students则是正确的表达（那些学生中的两百人），这是部分 of 整体的表达，与three of them/four of those boys/some of my friends是同样的表达。又如三千本书，应该表达为three thousand books,五万人应该表达为fifty thousand people,六百万工人应该表达为six million workers,十四亿人应该表达为one point four billion people。
不定量表达：如hundreds of students（成百上千的学生），thousands of books（成千上万的书），也可说成thousands and thousands of books。再例如millions of people（成百万的人），billions of people（数十亿的人）。至于不定量表达，前面不能加two/three/four这些定量词，如上面讲到的two hundreds of students
则是错误的表达，但前面可加some/many/a few/several这些不定量词，如可说many thousands of students。注意不定量表达在hundred/thousand/million/billion后要加s,并且后面还要加上介词of，两者缺一不可，如hundred of students和
hundreds students 都是错误的表达。

第2题应该选A,注意名词students前面有限定词the,属于部分 of 整体的表达。
