Okay, let's first look at this word.

In the UK and Australia the standard pronunciation is: /bɪə/.

This is a bottle of beer.

You do not pronounce the R unless the next word starts with a vowel sound.

For example: I would like beer and chips for dinner.

Because I'm a healthy person.

Now, how do you think this word is pronounced?

You might think that it's pronounced "/beəd/" or "/beərd/", but it is actually closer to the first word: beer.

In fact it is exactly the same as "beer", but with a D on the end: beard.
