When you try your level best

But you fail.

却偏偏功败垂成。

When nobody understands you

And you feel that you are isolated

From the world.

被全世界孤立。

When you want to help the needy

你想要帮助困难的人

But find yourself unable to

却发现自己无能为力

Because of some reasons.

因为某些原因。

有那么一天

When you are hungry and have a few bucks

你饥饿难耐，身上只有几块钱

But you see the child laborers and buy food for them.

但你见到一些童工，为他们买了食物。

Sometimes the day comes

有那么一天

When Mom comes up with one answer

妈妈给出一种回答

And Father with another

爸爸给出另一种回答

And you have to make your own decision.

你不得不自己做决定。

When you see that some people ditch others

你见到某些人舍弃他

Because of their selfishness.

只因为他们自私自利。

When you want to tell something to your parents

你想向父母倾诉

But find yourself unable to because

却发现自己有口难言

You think that they might get hurt

因为你认为他们也许会受到伤害

Or misunderstand you.

或产生误解。

When your friends drift apart

你的朋友渐渐疏离

Not because you were not able to understand them

并非因为你无法理解他们

But because they were not able to understand you.

When you want to smile

你想微笑

But can't find a place to even weep.

却甚至找不到地方流泪。

Sometimes the day comes

When your beloved can't understand your feelings

你的挚爱无法理解你的感受

And leaves you alone

离你而去

And you look down and feel ashamed or embarrassed.

你低下头，感到羞愧或尴尬。

But sometimes the day comes

When you learn from all your failures and think—

你从所有失败中汲取教训，心想——

"Those who dare to fail greatly can achieve greatly."

Don't look down, look up.

isolated [ˈaɪsəleɪtɪd]

adj. 孤立的；隔离的；分离的

例：Elderly people easily become socially isolated.

上了年纪的人很容易变得与社会隔绝。

ditch [dɪtʃ]

v. 摆脱；抛弃

例：She ditched her husband to marry the window cleaner.

misunderstand [ˌmɪsʌndərˈstænd]

v. 误解；误会

例：Authorities despise him, people misunderstand him and villains plot to get rid of him.

drift [drɪft]

v. 渐渐流动；随意移动

例：After the band stopped playing, people drifted away in twos and threes.

weep [wiːp]

v. 流泪；哀悼

例：She was even prepared for an angry confrontation but was shocked when her mother simply began to weep.
