1）address … to… 向……提出请愿（要求/抗议/警告/谢意）; 致(函); 对…讲话（正式用法）
They addressed the strong protest to the legislative. 他们向立法机关提出了强烈的抗议。Please address all letters to this office. 请把全部信件寄往这个办公室。 He addressed his remarks to the jury.他对陪审团讲话。
2）address oneself to 忙着做……, 致力于……
He addressed himself to the work in hand.他正忙着做手头的工作。She addressed herself to the main difficulty. 她致力于解决主要问题。
3）be addressed as…… 称呼…… 为……
The King was addressed as “Your Majesty”. 国王被称为陛下。She always addressed me as "my daughter." 她总是把我叫做“我的女儿”。
