2.常跟动名词的词。
英语中有一些动词（短语）后面常跟动名 词作宾语。初中阶段常见的有：enjoy, mind, miss, finish, be worth, be busy, have fun, practice, feel like, have trouble/problems (in), be used to(习惯于), give up, consider, suggest, can't help, keep on, carry on, be fond of。我们可按下面的顺口溜记忆一些词或短语。
完成练习值得忙（finish, practice, be worth, be busy）;
继续习惯别放弃（keep on, be used to, give up);
考虑建议不禁想（consider, suggest, can't help, feel like）;
喜欢思念要介意（enjoy, miss, mind）。
3.注意含有介词to的固定短语。
在初中阶段的英语学习中，学生常常会遇到含有介词的短语，下列动词短语中的to为介词，其后需要接名词，代词或动名词。
1）devote oneself to献身，致力于……
e.g. He has devoted himself to helping disabled people.
他一生致力于帮助残疾人。
2）look forward to 期盼，盼望
e.g. We are so much looking forward to seeing you again.
我们非常盼望再见到你。
3）keep/stop/prevent sb. from doing sth. 阻止某人做某事
I keep/stop/prevent him from cutting trees.
我阻止他砍树。
4）make (a) contribution (s) to为……做贡献
e.g. Why not make a contribution to protecting animals?
为什么不为保护动物做一份贡献呢？
5）be used to…习惯……;适应……
He is quite used to working hard.
他很习惯努力工作。
6）prefer…to…比起……更喜欢……
I prefer learning English to playing computer games.
比起玩电脑游戏，我更喜欢学英语。
7）spend…(in)doing sth. 花费……干某事
e.g. He spent half a year in writing a short play.
他花费了半年写一个短剧。
8) Thank sb. for doing sth. 为……感谢某人
e.g. Thank you for helping me.
谢谢你帮助我。
9) pay attention to doing sth. 注意做某事
e.g. You must pay attention to keeping the room clean.你必须注意保持房间的清洁。
10) be good at/do well in doing sth. 擅长做某事
e.g. She is good at dancing. 她擅长跳舞。
11)What about/How about doing sth. ?……做某事怎么样（好吗）？
e.g. What about going swimming?去游泳怎么样?
4. 两组固定搭配
1)prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. =
prefer doing sth. to doing sth. 宁愿做某件事而不愿做另一件事。
e.g. I prefer to learn English rather than play football on Sundays.
= I prefer learning English to playing football on Sundays.
在周日我宁愿学英语，也不愿去踢足球。
2)need, require, want 后跟不定式和动名词的区别。
当need, require, want 作“需要”解时，后加动名词等于后加不定式的被动式。
e.g. The table needs cleaning.=The table needs to be cleaned. 那个桌子需要清洗。
