随着时间的流逝，不经意间，我已经积攒了很多首有不同语言版本的歌曲。我发现很多中文老歌的原唱是来自英文歌的。在里，我刚刚吐槽过咱们幼儿园小朋友的新年必唱曲目《新年好》，它的英文原唱《Oh My Darling, Clementine》歌词颇为诡异，而且根本就不是中文版那种欢快轻松的喜庆气氛。
当然，两种语言版本的歌词不是对方的一对一翻译这种情况也是完全可以理解的，因为我坚信歌词就应该像诗一样，需要押韵需要意境，同时又需要贴合旋律，这些都是简单的“翻译”做不到的。因此，绝大多数的英文歌曲飘洋过海来到中国以后，旋律未改，歌词很多却都是重新写过的，所以多数情况下并不忠实于原唱。下面咱们来看这首90年代非常有名的歌曲《爱你在心口难开》，英文原唱是《More Than I Can Say》。我就尝试自己唱了一下，用的是Sing by Smule这个应用，以邀请（invitation）的形式唱的，所以只唱了Part One，请点击聆听，或同我合唱：

可以看出，英语的原唱歌词虽然简单，但是很真切地表达了歌手对情人的爱意，而且做到了处处押韵(rhym)，比如day和say，so和know，cry和guy等。
汉语的歌名《爱你在心口难开》已经不再是直译而是意译了，虽然也做到了押韵——全歌押“ai”韵，但是并不是原唱100%的字面翻译。
