Before we get started, let’s look at the pronunciation of the word. Many people pronounce it “puuut”, which is incorrect, or pronounce good goood, look loook. They are all incorrect. So the pronunciation tip here is to make the “u” sound tight not loose. By the way, just forget about the prolonged sound and short one that we learned from our English teachers.
