Buy the box and return the pearl
A man of the state of Chu has a very beautiful pearl. In order to sell for a good price, he decides to make a good box for the pearl. He finds a very famous handicraft man, uses the best wood, draws nice paintings on it. He also adds jade and gold on the box The box looks like a piece of perfect art work. He puts the pearl in the box and comes to the market.
The beautiful box attracts lots of people. A man of the state of Zheng looks at the box for a long time, he loves it so much. Finally, he pays lots of money to buy this box and pearl. But soon he comes back. He says to the seller: “ Sir, you left a pearl in the box, here you are!” The seller doesn’t know what to say but standing there embarrassedly.

买椟还珠
一个楚国人有一颗很漂亮地珍珠。为了能卖一个好价钱，他决定给珍珠做一个好的盒子。 他找了一位很有名的工匠，用最好的木头，在上面画了精美的图画。他还在盒子上镶嵌了玉和黄金。这个盒子看起来就像一件艺术品。他把珍珠放进盒子里，来到了市场。
这个漂亮的盒子吸引了很多人。一位郑国人看这个盒子很长时间，他太喜欢这个盒子了。最后，他花了很多钱买了这个盒子和珍珠。但是，过了一会儿，他又回来了，他对卖家说：“先生，你把一颗珍珠落在盒子里了。给你！” 这个卖家不知道该说什么了，只能尴尬地站在那里。
这个故事有两个寓意：1. 卖家过度包装，导致包装的美观程度超过了商品本身。有喧宾夺主之意2. 买家有眼无珠，不识货，没有认识到珍珠的价值远在盒子之上。
