(1) Spell 魔咒的统称
Charm、curse、hex都属于spell。
Cinderella’s fairy godmother cast a spell on her that made her rags turn into a beautiful dress.
灰姑娘的神仙教母对她施法，把她的破衣服变成了漂亮的裙子。
Cast的过去式和过去分词还是cast。
Witches know spells that can do nearly anything you can think of.
女巫会法术，能做你能想到的任何事。
(2) Charm 有益或无害的魔咒
The witch put a charm on the man so that his farm was never barren, even in the dry season.
女巫对这个人施了法，让他的农田永远不会贫瘠，即使是在旱季。
(3) Curse 恶意的魔咒；诅咒
She had a curse placed on her that she would never make friends again.
她给她下了咒，她永远都不能交朋友了。
(4) Hex 小的坏魔咒
The hex always made him sneeze when he tried to tell a lie.
这个小魔咒让他一要说谎就打喷嚏。
