crow n. 乌鸦；鸡鸣；撬棍。eat crow是俗语，意思是“认错”

eat no fish and play the game出自一个典故，说的是在英国历史上的伊丽莎白一世时期，信奉英国国教的信徒拒绝遵从反对英国国教的罗马天主教在星期五只吃鱼的习惯，所以eat no fish指“光明正大”。
