19年前，刘慈欣的小说《流浪地球》首次刊登在成都出版的《科幻世界》月刊上。如今，随着成都文创产业的快速发展，科幻文学优势在转化成文化创造和文化产业优势，助力成都高水平建设世界文创名城的同时，也让“科幻之都”成都闪耀世界舞台。
The film is based on a story by Liu Cixin, the author best known for The Three-Body Problem and the first Chinese winner of the Hugo Award for the genre in 2015. The novel Wandering Earth was first shown on the magazine Science Fiction World publishedin Chengdu 19 years ago. With the rapid development of Chengdu's cultural and creative industries, the advantages ofscience fiction literaturehas driven the development of related fields and helped Chengdu to become a world-class city of culture and creativity.

《科幻世界》杂志社副总编辑姚海军表示，从台前到幕后，《流浪地球》都与成都有着密不可分的关系。《科幻世界》杂志社发掘、培养出了刘慈欣、王晋康、何夕等一批明星作家。刘慈欣、郝景芳、韩松等响当当的科幻文学界大腕，都曾是《科幻世界》杂志的作者。《流浪地球》《乡村教师》等如今大放异彩的刘慈欣作品，最初都刊登在这本杂志上。

The magazine, rooted in Chengdu, has cultivated a batch of leading writers in science fiction, such as Liu Cixin, Wang Jinkang and He Xi," said Yao Haijun,DeputyEditorof Science Fiction World, "With a strong foundation for the creation of sic-fiction novels, Chengdu always provides favorable environment for these writers, just as Science Fiction World. It's believed more writers will be appreciated and become famous from here."

“发展科幻产业，基础工作是非常重要的。首先要为作家和作品搭建平台，才能有之后产业发展的可能性。”姚海军告诉记者，被科幻迷评为“中国科幻四大天王”的王晋康、何夕、韩松和刘慈欣，都起步于《科幻世界》杂志，“成都浓厚的科幻氛围，为科幻作家的成长提供了丰厚土壤。《科幻世界》杂志社就如同一个播种机，让更多科幻作品在这里生根发芽。”
《流浪地球》的热映，给中国科幻产业带来了新的契机。姚海军表示，政府、出版社、文创企业等力量的参与，助推成都将科幻文学优势转化成文化创造和文化产业优势，形成了完整的科幻产业链。如今，成都不光有《科幻世界》杂志，还诞生了中国科幻文学类的最高奖项“银河奖”和“华语科幻星云奖”，各类文创产品频出。科幻作家培养计划、科幻进校园等活动，更是如火如荼。
