我们可以从下面三个因素区分椰子油的品质:

1、颜色、透明度| Color and Transperency
新鲜、高质量的椰子油应该是无色透明的。
Fresh and high quality coconut oil should have no color and very transparent.
2、气味| smell or Aroma
没有被烤过或者发酵的味道。如果原材料不新鲜,工厂会烤制椰子去除腐败的味道。椰子是非常敏感的产品,采摘当天就需要处理。
Have no roasted or sour smell. If raw material is not fresh producer will roast their coconut to cover rancid (sour) smell. Coconut is highly sensitive product and we need to use coconut the same day it is harvested.
3、口感| Taste and Texture
气味应该是清新的,如果香气偏浓厚且油腻,说明椰子油经过高温加热,油分子扩大,大分子会影响肠道吸收,也不容易被皮肤和头发吸收。
If the texture is thick and oily, means that it has been through heat process which enlarge the size of the oil molecule, making it harder to digest and absorb into the hair and skin.
高质量的椰子油口味更清淡,并且容易被皮肤和消化系统吸收,这是因为油分子比较小。
High quality coconut oil should taste lighter (as light as water) and easier to absorb into the skin and digestive system because it has smaller oil molecule.
