首先，咱们来聊聊在表达“X年”时的语序问题。
比如“猪年”，不能说pig year，而应该说the Year of the Pig。因为pig year不是英语的表述习惯。
一个验证英文是否地道的好办法就是“Google it”，用 Google 搜索一下英文世界到底有无这种说法。
当我们输入了“pig year”，看看搜索结果是什么：
检索出来的文章标题都是“Year of the Pig”，不是“pig year”，所以我们在表达中国“生肖年”的地道英语结构是：year of the 某个生肖的英文。
再来聊聊“鼠”的单词。
在我们的印象中，“鼠”有两个单词：mouse和rat。
Mouse是单数，复数形式为mice；rat的复数很简单，就是rats。那么这两个词有何区别？下面是牛津词典截图：
mouse: animal that is covered in fur and has a long thin tail. Mice live in fields, in people’s houses or where food is stored.
mouse指全身灰毛，尾巴细长的动物。它们生活在田地里、人们的家中，以及储藏食物的地方。
