胡克与列文虎克的关系，本是“站在巨人肩膀”的一段佳话，却因姓氏相似和研究领域略有交叉为世人所混淆。一个是如再生“达芬奇”般的博物学家，一个是手艺精巧善于观察的探索者，两位“胡（虎）克”皆记录着各自镜头中他们所热爱的世界，被图像化的科学知识在后世看来仍然熠熠生辉。
