教材分析
本课是词汇课，内容选自PEP教材五年级上第四单元B Let’s learn部分。本课的内容是教材中角色在课堂以外，所做的各种不同的课外活动。所涉及的单词和词组：swim, cook, speak English, play basket- ball, play ping-pong是本课的核心内容。本课会结合主情景图，A部分的内容以及Let’s check等内容，进行更丰富的活动来进行学习，提升学生在情境中运用词汇的能力。
学情分析
五年级学生经过两年多的英语学习，具备了一定的词汇量和较好的语言基础。就本课而言，之前学生在第四单元A部分中积累了许多动词及短语，如dance, sing English songs, play the pipa, do kung fu, draw cartoons等，本课可以滚动这些动词短语。此外，学生在这之前已经学习了句型I am ... .(描述自己的外貌) I am ... .(描述自己的性格特点)I like... .第四单元A部分又学习了I can... .这一句型，因此，他们能比较熟练谈论关于自己与朋友ability的话题。学生的这些前期语言和知识的积累都可以被迁移和运用到本课中，成为本课的设计起点，在此基础上，建构起学生新的知识。

教学目标
1.知识目标：
能够听说读写单词或词组：swim, speak English, cook, play basketball, play ping-pong；能够在情境中运用Can you ...?及它的回答：Yes, I can. I can ..., too./ No, I can’t. But I can ... .
2.能力目标：
能够掌握拼读、根据听力内容提取有效信息等学习词汇的方法；逐步具备观察、比较以及合作、交流的能力。
3.情感目标：
能够使孩子树立自信心：和别人不一样是没关系的！
教学重难点
掌握并运用五个动词或词组，能区别并正确运用；能够基于绘本弗洛格的故事来做It's OK to be different的整体文本输出。

I.Beforehand Activities（语言复现活动）
Activity 1. Enjoy a video
(视频文本：There are different people in the world. Some are tall. Some are short. Some are kind. Some are funny. Some like green. Some like blue. Some like fish. Some like vegetables. Some like dogs. Some like cats. Some can play football. Some can draw pictures. What kind of kids are you?)
【设计意图】通过观看视频，学生复习滚动已学句型及名词，文中指出世界上的人都是各不相同的，为本课的主题It’s OK to be different埋下伏笔。
Activity 2. Let’s say
Ss talk what kind of kids they are.
For example: I am ... .(appearance) I am ... .(characteristics) I like... . I can ... .
【设计意图】接开篇的video后，教师请学生对自己进行描述，在学生描述后，教师进行评价，如：Wow, you can play the pipa, but I can’t. In fact, I can play the piano. Never mind! It’s OK to be different成了贯穿本课的一条主线，也为后面主人公们谈论自己能力的时候，很自然地知道和别人不一样是没关系，每个人都有自己的特点。

Activity 1. Listen and choose
1. Listen to the dialogue and choose what Zhang Peng can do.
听力文本：
John: I can play basketball.
Can you, Zhang Peng?
Zhang Peng: No, I can’t.
John: What can you do?
Zhang Peng: I can play ping-pong.
Can you?
John: Yes. Of course!
Zhang Peng: Let’s play ping-pong together!
John: Great!
2. Listen again and tell what John can do.
3. Ss learn and read the phrases: play basketball & play ping-pong.
4. Talk about themselves.
