210、need， want
need 和want两者都有“要、需要”之意，但在实际的用法上有不同之处。
一、都可以跟名词或主动的动词不定式及被动的动词不定式：
He needs a new dictionary. 他需要一本新词典。
He wants a new dictionary. 他需要一本新词典。
He needs to buy a new dictionary.他需要买一本新词典。
He wants to buy a new dictionary.他需要买一本新词典。
The house needs to be repaired. 房子要维修一下。
The house wants to be repaired. 房子要维修一下。
二、都可以跟动名词，但动名词的主动式表示被动：
The house needs repairing. 房子要维修一下。
The house wants repairing. 房子要维修一下。
三、want可以跟复合宾语，但need不能；need可以作情态动词，但want不能。例如：
He wanted his son to learn driving. 他要他儿子学驾驶。
Need he return the book today ? 他今天必须还书吗？
You needn't return the book today. 你不必今天还书。
